Sam believes you should keep more of your hard-earned money. Much of the legislation that he has authored has been centered around this philosophy, from tax deductions for saving for college, to opposing adding taxes to rideshare programs, and to calling for a Constitutional Amendment that would require a super-majority for the legislature before it could increase or add new taxes. He has consistently opposed efforts to increase the tax burden on Georgia citizens. In the 2018 session, he voted YES to lowering the income tax rate and doubling the standard deduction -- this will save Georgians $5 Billion! As your Representative, he will continue to fight for lower taxes for Georgia families.
